Join us on Friday night to mix with the locals and meet the rodeo officials and competitors. There will be a Calcutta around 8pm, and a raffle for the RFDS. If dining book a table or take your chance on the Deck. Streaky Bay Hotel 6.00pm

The Rodeo - Saturday 17th October 2026

Gates will open at 2pm.  Food and retail vendors will be trading.  There will be amusements for the children. Best dressed cowboy/cowgirl competition in the main arena 3.00pm. All children welcome to enter.  At 3.30pm witness the crowning of our Rodeo Queen. Main event 4pm. Exciting half-time entertainment. Live music from 9pm.

Shuttle Bus

From 1.30pm a bus will collect Rodeo ticket holders from Discovery Parks, Streaky Bay Hotel, Streaky Bay Motel & Villas and Islands Caravan Park on a continuous loop.  No bus between 5-6pm (drivers break).  Last bus 10pm. You can bring a chair. No eskies allowed.  This is a free service however a gold coin to the RFDS tin is appreciated.

Check out the district

Stroll the walking track around the bay or do the historic walk. Play a round of golf with the locals, the club house will help you out with clubs, or hire a tinny, kayak or standup paddle board from Killas at 48 Wells Street. Swim with the Sealions at Baird Bay or paddle with the Dragon Boat club and view Streaky Bay from the water.  Visit the National Trust museum at 42 Montgomerie Terrace to see our rich history. Experience Streaky Bay Distillers for a gin tasting at 34 Fredrick Drive or try oysters on the Ocean Deck at SA Premium Oysters Smoky Bay.
